The crew of the Bushwacker and Abacus go to Venezuela to avoid the rain in California
Our first stop was into the city of Caracas. Barry loved this picture and thought of picking up some property.
Our first stop was into the hotel Santiago in Macuto for some food and a cold Polar.
The Hotel had a pool on the top floor with a great view. It was a first class hotel for $38US a night.
The hills were on one side and the ocean was on the other.
The next stop was Puerto La Cruz. It was a short 5 hour trip by car through the jungle.
Again more food and more Polars.
The next stop was Isle Margarita. We took a 5 hour ferry trip out to this Island and found a great Hotel on the beach.
Barry and Ann standing outside of Patrick's. What a deal for $18US per night. It was the nicest place yet.
The food was also the best around. We had a great time site seeing and shopping.
This is a shot of the beach. We spent the day here, and it was very hot!
This shot gives you an idea of the terrain here, mostly desert with lots of nice beaches.
The town was very friendly with a beautiful view and awesome sunsets.
Like this one.
Best of all was the currency. The Bolivar was trading at 524 to 1 US
dollar.
So after a visit to the bank. I became one of the richest men in the hotel room.
