Karen, Luke and I take off with Barry and Ann for one more weekend at Angel Island
We did all get new
toys this year and for once Jeff, Barry and I decided on the same thing
The Olympus 2100 Color zoom digital camera.
Follow this link to the Olympus web site for more information
I just couldn't
wait to get to the boat, my wife was already starting with the
new camera phobia, shooting everything in site.
I needed to get the thing out of her hands, even if she did buy it.
We were out of the
slip bright and early (well Graf o'clock)
Then it happened, The Abacus was no longer spitting water.
After a quick stop at the dock it was determined that the intake was clogged
with something.
So, in the 50 degree water, Barry went in.
The problem was quickly cleared and Barry rinsed off, and we continued to Angel Island
The weather was beautiful. It was going to be a nice 4 days...
Then we hit the slot and it jumped down about 30 degrees from the shorts weather we had a moment ago.
But an hour later, we were in sunny paradise enjoying the food and sun.
Like usual the BBQ's were going the whole time
It was such a great weekend we walked the island each day
A view of the boats from the shore, I am glad we left early as it was packed in just a few hours
A view from the top
Boats on the bay. Look at the fog roll in. It didn't make it to where we were.
Funny...
My next boat in the background.
The following day we took the dink to the immigration station
Here we saw
displays of proper cabin etiquette. I took this picture for Jeff.
Jeff notice the clothes folded and neatly arranged?
I believe the sign
in the background says "Take out, any 3 items for $4.95"
I could be wrong, my Chinese is a little rusty.
A view of the cove at the immigration station.
On the way home we
were side my side rocking to the Traveling Wilburys down the Estuary.
What a great trip
I can't
believe summer is coming to an end... Where did the time go?
I think I need to work on early retirement.... Like Barry...
