Just as I'm saying
"summer is coming to an end", we have another awesome weekend.
No need to sit it out at the dock, so we head to Treasure Island
Bushwacker, Abacus,
and Stella Blue.
That's right Wally takes a break from working on the boat and shows up for his
first overnighter.
Hot, sunny, water like glass. Not to mention cold beer.
Shot's of the raftup.
Enjoying the morning. Great shot Karen took.
And then... The annual migration of the TI seals? No people training for a marathon next week. Are they nuts???
A picture looking into Clipper cove.
Size does matter
Wally. Just relaxing.
We decided to go out for a sail but after a lack of wind we quickly returned.
And then a 911 happened. A boat was too close to shore and we experienced a minus tide. It went on it's side.
While on it's side it started taking on water.
Reluctantly the owner let me call
the Coast Guard.
Problem was as the tide came up the boat had so much water in
it, it continued to sink.
By morning we needed a salvage dive crew to re-float it.
Shots of the boat before the crew arrived on scene
Divers arrived on the scene and added float bags
A bow float bag was also attached and the boat was floated to the deck line. Then the pump started
The boat slowly started to rise and rise
and rise. At the end of about 5 hours it was re-floated and towed back to it's slip
That was the first time I had seen this live. Talk about excitement....
