Karen and I head up to the Pacific Northwest for the final journey of the summer
Myth. There is NO pot of gold at the end of the rainbow
In winter or raining conditions the pilothouse is a must. Just pass up the chips and dip
.
Karen and I in Sidney with the Captain
We pull into Sidney and who do we
pull in next too? Ron Blackwell. Ron runs the Spencer group.

He said "drop by and buy me a beer sometime" so I did. ... Also Ron's crew
No trip would be complete without
projects. A new head for the forward head.
And this chafed wire that took us almost 4 hours to find and replace. It was a
great test of skill.
Nice house on the island. A shot of the helm after the replacement of the old chart plotter.
I took over the helm for a few hours while Barry did some chart plotting (note the new Tivo remote)
Butchart Gardens a must see stop. Karen and the boar...
More shots of the gardens. Pictures just do not capture it
More shots of the crew and boat
Maple Bay. Season is over so we had no problem getting a good slip. The dog park
Barry and the local art work. Our final ferry stop at Friday Harbor.
More to follow at Christmas. Had to return to California so I could put shorts on again
