The Racecar, Phase 2

The next phase (May-July, 1998) was to lighten the car as much as possible (within reason, and without spending too much time or money on the project).  All interior pieces that were'nt necessary were removed.  RS America door panels were installed.   Sound proffing was removed where it easily came off.  All the airconditioner components were removed, including all hoses, cables, blowers, etc.  The end result?   About 160 lbs savings.  That's like having another person riding in the car with you suddenly get out!
