4th of July 2003
July always means "Delta Time" and this year was no different, so on Saturday at 7am we headed out
Jamie and I at the wheel trying to break last years speed record of 10.5 knots
But it wasn't meant to be. 9.8 was the best speed we could do. Karen and Jamie at the wheel.
Wing, wing and wing. I love down wind runs
It was a great sail with Abacus close behind.
Ann at the wheel. A view from the Abacus
Some shots of the anchorage. Look at the early morning fog. It only lasted a few minutes.
And finally fresh water and the Delta. Not to mention beer o'clock....
The next task was to put the new ski boat through it's paces
The swim deck came in real handy
A few pictures of the anchorage and the boats
At one point we had more boats than people. When do you have too many boats? (Never!)
Every hour is happy hour in the Delta
First sign of trouble... The warning labels. After a few days on the hook, it was back to the Delta Bay Club
To keep this news section manageable, I have broken this news section out into several sections
